MURMUR........................................................................Blackheart, April 2000 |
MURMUR Blackheart doll creations and assemblages Blackheart doll creations and assemblages are representations of alter ego's, thoughts, stories and states of being made tangible through form. Initially inspired by the shadow boxes of Joseph Cornell these doll creations have taken on collective and singular identities in and of themselves. The central interest of these objects lies in the otherness quality of them. The queer sensation of being mirrored in something that has taken on it's own existence, sometimes comforting, sometimes sinister. Curated by Colleen Heslin. |
